All blue in neckace-land!  I don’t know about you, but in the dreary winter months I need to see some aqua colored blue.   Going to the beach in Mexico would be great but for now I’m taking comfort in these stunning gemstones.  Blue chalcedony, blue quartz, blue topaz, and blue chalcedony (left to right).  $40, $44, $44, and $52 until Valentines Day!  All hand made, all sterling silver, chain length 16.5 – 17.5 (customizable).

Holiday Gifts!

Thank marine blue chalcedony gemstone pendant necklaceyou to all my friends and new friends who came out to the Phinney Winter Festival and to my Jewelry, Mimosa and Homemade Pop Tart Party!  I had so much fun this year and I always love seeing people trying on and appreciating my pieces.

This marine blue chalcedony stone was this hit this year.  I use this amazingly colored stone in many different designs.  Almost all of the necklaces and some of the earrings on my website can be adapted to use this stone.

If you are looking for a special holiday gift I can have it ready for you in a few days!  www.sevilledesigns.com

Seville Designs Autumn News!

Now that the rain has settled in, I’m diligently working on my designs and upcoming shows and craft fairs.  I’ll be showing a new set of metal designs at the Phinney Neighborhood Winter Festival and Craft Show on December 1 & 2  (Seattle).  Put it on your calendar because it’s a good one!

I just did a necklace giveaway and Maria won a gorgeous sterling silver, rounded rectangle pendant necklace with a green amethyst and freshwater pearl (shown in my necklaces section).  My contests are easy to enter!  I’ll be doing another giveaway soon because they are so much fun and give me an added chance to interact with people.

If you haven’t found me on Facebook yet, please do!  Seville Design on Facebook.

Stay warm and dry out there!!

Winning Necklace Design from RCF Austin

mixed metal necklace - pendant of silver rings suspended in copper band

A new favorite mixed metal necklace design!  I made 4 similar necklaces for the Renegade Craft Fair Austin and they sold like little hot cakes.  It is a pendant of  four sterling silver rings suspended within a copper band on a sterling silver chain.  I have to admit that I love it myself!  Making some more of these this weekend.

This is Mary, signing off with sunshine in Seattle and a long to-do list…

Success and Fun Times at Renegade Craft Fair Austin!

Seville Designs Handmade Jewelry at Renegade Craft Fair AustinI’ll start by saying that I will definitely be applying for the Renegade Craft Fair in Austin next year!  It was well organized, well attended, there were awesome tunes spinning (DJ from Waterloo Records), and a full bar.  How perfect is that?  Oh, and the shoppers were so friendly.  I talked at length with a guy about fishing in Baja and with a woman about her antique flower frog collection.   (I had two unusual, antique frogs as part of my earring display.)  Also impressive was the quality of the vendors.  I bought half a suitcase full of gifts and a few things for myself even though I was supposed to be there to earn money not spend money!

I’d say of my handmade jewelry designs the mixed metal necklaces and earrings were the crowd favorite.  I love mixing silver and copper and silver and gold and the patrons bought those right up!

Being new to the traveling craft fair thing, I was uber stressed about logistics.  Transporting my booth display items from Seattle to Austin was a giant pain, but everything made it off the plane just fine.  Luckily I had my two sisters-in-law and a friend to help me get the booth set up and ready in the tight 2 hours we had to work with.  I’ll make sure I have helpers available when I do the next craft event outside of Seattle, that’s for sure.  Maybe that will be RCF San Francisco 2012.

This is Mary, signing off with gratitude and fond memories of Austin…

Yeehaw! Renegade Craft Fair in Austin, TX

Renegade Craft Fair at Palmer Events Center in Austin TexasMy days and nights are busy, busy, busy getting ready to head down to Austin for the Renegade Craft Fair!  I’ve got necklaces and earrings sparkling and ready with purple amethyst, green garnet, pink ruby, blue chalcedony, green peridot, white moonstone, and pink quartz.  Mixed metals, you ask?  Yep, I’ve got them too!  Copper with silver, silver with gold, bronze with copper and more.

Austin is an amazing city to hang out in if you like friendly people, live music, food trucks, awesome restaurants, artsy stuff, funky stuff, warm weather…and I’m just getting started with this list.  I go to Austin every chance I get and I am so psyched be going for the Renegade Craft Fair and for and extra three days of fun.  Yeehaw!
